How to choose the right paint colour for every room
Home decorating can be confusing - especially when it comes to colour. Designer Amanda Forrest breaks down the tips on how to make it work.
These are the most popular paint colours for each living space:
- Living room: Grey, blue, white
- Kitchen: White, grey
- Bedroom: Blue, grey, green
When building a room scheme choose one dominant piece, (wall colour, art, furniture or rug) and allow that to "shine". Then go ahead and build on your dominant colour with complimentary accessory pieces . Try to incorporate something black and white in your accessories to keep the room feeling fresh and on trend. Finally, mix metals to add a hit of glamour and richness.
