When it comes to meditation, many think of it as a state of mind that's almost unachievable - that perfectly clear head that takes years and years of practice to perfectg. For most, that idea can be too overwhelming to even begin the process. In truth, meditation is for everyone, and it's so much easier than you'd think.

That's why two women with a background in mental health opened up a new kind of meditation studio. Hoame takes a modern approach to the age old practice, and offers a welcoming space for people to explore meditation in a variety of formats. From guided meditation classes in dark rooms that can not only help you feel relax and restored, but also help improve your relationship with sleep, to light classes that use essential oils, and hot and cold towels to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life. Of course they also have a class that simply covers the essentials of leading a more mindful life, and classes that help welcome compassion and gratitude into your life, and so much more. You can fine tune your mental health in whatever way best suits you.

But wait - it gets even better.

Salt_cave.jpgIn addition to guided meditation classes with instructors, they also offer similar services via headphones in an incredble Himilayan salt cave. With over six tons of the pink crystals filling the space, along with beanbag loungers, this room feels like nothing we've ever experienced. With salt therapy going all the way back to ancient Rome and ancient Greece, it's the best way to feel grounded and take time away from your busy schedule to focus on you. The trace minerals in the salt are said to help with anxiety, reduce stress, and even boost your immune system. But even if it didn't do all of that, we'd still want to hang out in there because gorgeous.

If salt isn't your thing, then maybe heat is. If that's the case, you can spend some quality time in their infrared sauna which can help with everything from stress and anxiety to circulation issues and skin purification. It heats the space with visible and non-visible wavelengths, not with steam or hot rocks like traditional saunas - it's a totally different experience that will even give you a space to catch up on your favourite movies because when it comes down to it - it's really all about what relaxes YOU.
