Homemade Baby Food
Autumn in a Dish
Ingredients:
1 Sweet Potato
2 Large Carrots
½ Cup Natural Apple Sauce
Pinch of Cinnamon
Directions:
Wash both your carrots and sweet potato. Poke holes in sweet potato with a fork and cover in tin foil – do not peel for baking
Place carrots and sweet potato in 400 degree oven and bake for about 30 - 45 minutes or until soft – carrots will take less time
Slit the sweet potato length wise and scoop out the insides
Place the soft sweet potato and carrots and apple sauce into food processor. Blend until smooth or desired consistency is achieved
When serving add a pinch of cinnamon on top for a dash of flavour
No Cooking Required Dish
Ingredients:
½ Banana
½ Ripe Avocado
¼ Cup Natural Cheerios
Directions:
Cut the ripe avocado in half and remove the “meat” of one side.
With the back of a spoon mix banana and avocado until blended together smoothly
Crunch up Cheerios until tiny and sprinkle on top of dish
6-9 Months
The Protein Dish
Ingredients:
½ Cup of Peas (frozen)
½ Squash Butternut
½ Cup of White Chicken Meat
Directions:
Wash squash, remove skin and cut into cubes and steam until tender. Warm and soften peas by steaming, you can add to the squash while steaming if desired
Add squash, peas and chicken into food processor and blend until desired consistency
