How to Paint Horizontal Stripes on Your Wall

You’ll need:
  • Painter’s tape
  • Measuring tape
  • Laser level
Directions:
  1. Figure out the measurements for each stripes. First measure the length of the wall from the bottom of your crown molding or ceiling to the top of your baseboards.
  2. Decide on how big and how many stripes you want. Once you have decided on how you want you stripes to look, divide the number stripes you want by the height of the wall. For Example, if your wall is 400 cm tall and you want 7 stripes on your wall, you would divide 400 by 7. This would mean that each stripe would be 57cm tall. Once you figure out the measurements, use your measuring tape, laser level, and painters tape to mark each stripe across your wall.

Caution! You will want the stripes on the top and bottom of your walls to be the paint colour with the least amount of contrast to your crown molding or ceiling and baseboard.
