Everything You Need To Know To Create The Perfect Summer Tiki Bar

Summer means outdoor parties! Our entertaining expert Sebastien Centner is her to help design amazing outdoor parties that you can recreate this summer.

One of the most classic outdoor parties to have is known as a tiki party. This type of party makes one think of Hawaii, and can make guests feel like they’re on vacation. Building or renting a tiki bar can be the perfect way to channel this party theme. Our
Tiki Bar is provided by Divine Furniture Rental.

Another important feature of a summer party is outdoor lighting. Lighting is often forgotten when planning a party, which can lead to the last minute lighting of candles, which is not always safe. This also means rushing around at the last minute to search for candles. Having outdoor lights, that won’t blow out in the wind, can be a smart touch to add when setting up for your party. The lighting in this segment is provided by ESE Lighting. Having permanent outdoor lighting can also be beneficial to spending time outdoors in the summer.

Having a bar prepared can be another very important feature of a party. This doesn’t mean that you can only serve alcoholic drinks! Keeping hydrated is very important. Creating a juice bar complete with garnishes like lemon slices or cherries, can be a cute and fun way to refresh children and adults!

There are also fun and trendy alcoholic drinks that you can serve to your adult guests. One of the most popular trendy drinks of the moment is champagne popsicles. By freezing champagne in popsicle molds you’ve created a delicious and cool way for your guests to hydrate. If you're afraid of them melting, place the popcicles in a wine glass, you you can drink them too! By adding pieces of fruit, and other foods like mint, you can change the champagne to create different flavors.

Other types of alcoholic beverages can also be frozen to create popsicles, however this can prove more difficult as other types may be more difficult to freeze. Using a wine glass to catch the melting popsicle can be helpful, or you can eat the drink like a slushie! It's delicious and helps you cool down in the summer heat!

A great snack idea for a summer party is sorbet cups. By slicing the tops off of lemons, limes, and oranges, and then hollowing them out you’ve made a biodegradable cup! After that you only need to scoop the sorbet in the cups and, voila! Using the fruit you removed to create the cup you can make homemade lemonade or orange juice for your bar.
