Stylist Julia Hayhurst is here with tips and tricks on how to throw the perfect kids birthday party.

To make the Pirate hat:

• Cut out two matching hat shapes from black bristol board and then staple opposing ends.
• Decorate with a gold seal and long feathers

• Fill a bucket with pirate themed items such as an inflatable sword, chocolate coins, pirate pencil, candy ring, candy necklace etc.
• Pour sand on top and then wrap bucket with cellophane and tie with a pirate ribbon.
