The average Canadian buys about 450lbs of canned good per year, but these canned goods are lined with bisphenol A (BPA), a nasty chemical that has been banned in Canada in certain products. If you buy the equivalent in fresh fruits and veggies you would save more than $225 a year!  If you can’t find fresh, you can always go for frozen. And of course eating what’s in season is good too. Eden Food offers canned foods with BPA free lining.
