Three green drinks that are so much better than dyed beer

Debbie Travis served as Marilyn's bartender for the hour and served up some festive green drinks that are so much more exciting than green beer. So go ahead, put on your best green outfit and down these St. Patrick's Day cocktails. 

Green with Envy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz white tequila
  • 1/2 oz run
  • 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao
  • 4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Slice of orange for garnish

Instructions

 

  1. Pour Blue Curacao in a hurricane glass, followed by the rest of the liquid ingredients. Pour carefully so the blue stays at the bottom and becomes green on top – when it is stirred become a really lovely aqua.
  2. Dress with a slice of orange.

 

Celtic twilight


Ingredients

 

  • 1 oz bushmills irish whiskey
  • 1 oz bailey's irish cream
  • 1 oz hazelnut liqueur
  • Crushed ice

 Instructions

 

  1. Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass half-filled with cracked ice.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Strain into an old-fashioned glass 1/4 filled with cracked ice, and serve.


Black Velvet


Ingredients

 

  • Champagne
  • Guiness (or other stout)

Instructions

 

  1.  Fill Champagne flute half-way with stout, then slowly top them up with chilled Champagne.
