We've got great tips for getting summer smooth skin with body scrubbers, buffing cloths and oils that'll help you get ready to bare your skin this summer.
1) Scrub legs, arms and shoulders:
A great beauty tip is to use shredded-coconut scrub mixed with your fave body lotion is a great way to scrub off the dull skin left from the winter and shin up our legs, arms and shoulders – as seen here
In our Spring issue of The Kit.ca, we suggests mixing shredded coconut with your body lotion to polish skin. The coconut buffs the skin and releases its natural oils, which are amazing for skin.
Or, another options is to use ordinary white granulated sugar. It doesn't muss the tub like coconut shreds!!
This lotion product works perfectly for this beauty tip: JR Watkins Natural Coconut Hand & Body Lotion, $11.99
2) Buff your back before bearing:
Many of us will start baring our backs with tank tops and backless shirts… and often we forget about the backs:
Love the Dermalogica's Ultimate Buffing Cloth ($24) – as seen here - it's really long, so you'll think you can cut it. But don't -- you need it long to scrub your back!
Or another options that is this product by: CleanLogic buffing cloth, sponge or mitten - $5
3) Lather in oil for glowing skin:
Once you’ve scrubbed and buffed your skin to be silky smooth – you’re going to want to moisturize it to show it off:
In particular, try to use all-natural oil to help skin recover faster from the scrubbing and buffing – it will give your skin a subtle warm glow.
The product used here is Weleda Sea Buckthorn Oil ($22.99) and has a gorgeous pick-me-up scent. And you can apply body lotion over it.
OR, if you need that extra exfoliating to get rid of rough spots or bumps on those baring body parts use a smoothing lotion like the Neostrata Body Smoothing Lotion ($34.75) contains 10% glycolic acid. It can help get rid of bumpies on upper arms and backs of legs.
