Ease of Organization
When life gets busy it’s hard to stay organized. Organizational expert, Peter Walsh, discusses clutter solutions that will make clean-up much easier. Plus, Leanne and Megan, two plan-savvy viewers, reveal their top tricks!
Start the day off right with a nutritional breakfast by making it the night before. In a jar, combine equal parts oatmeal, water and yogurt. Overnight the oatmeal will absorb the excess liquid and in the morning you simply top with berries, nuts and seeds.
Coordinate your Closet
Instead of grouping clothing by colour (like retail store) organize your clothing by category. It’s much easier to find the perfect shirt, tank top or blazer for the day when everything is together.
Make a Kanban Board
This is a visualization took for optimizing workflow.
On a white board, make three columns; To-do, In Progress and Done. Using different coloured sticky notes to indicate the level of priority write your tasks and place them in the appropriate column. As you work move tasks through the board being sure to check it each day and adding new tasks as you get them.
Organize your Drawers
Children’s clothing is especially small (but, this tip can be used for anyone) and gets lost easily in big drawers. Instead, organize clothing into storage bins that fit into the drawers. This keeps clutter at bay and clothing easy to find.
Keep your Drink Holders Clean
Place silicon muffin liners into the holders. When they get dirty, and they inevitably will, simply pop them out and wash them in the dishwasher.
Find a box that fits some toys which can tuck away easily. When the child is up they can slide out the box to pick their toys and when they go to bed you can hide the box again. Change up the toys whenever the babe gets bored!
