A small space doesn't mean ugly space! Adding design, lighting and furniture details make sure it feels finished and these have even more impact in a smaller space than a larger one. The details matter!!!!
Adults must sleep in complete blackness so my drapes are a "ripple-fold" style which is a modern look and goes up to the ceiling to make the space feel larger. They are fully operable so I can still easily pull them back and go out on my patio but close them at night. They are made from a faux silk which hangs so well with heavy lining ....makes a less expensive fabric look richer!!
To keep the room spacious, I have light side tables that are actually tray tables so it looks like I have nothing to hide!!
The walls are pale gray so the space is clean and my art stands out. The yellow in the art is reflected in the throw pillows on my bed. This is my accent colour so it draws attention to this wall. Again, this helps to make a small space appear less cluttered and therefore, larger!
